U-Quote Freight.com is an extended service of Freight Management & Allocation Company (F.M.A.C.) offering a unique solution to managing shipping costs. You just submit your detailed shipment information along with the amount you want to pay to move it, and we will "shop it" among the freight carriers in our database free of charge.
Once your shipment is selected, you will be emailed a
confirmation, and then contacted with shipping instructions. If none of
our affiliates are able to accept your shipment at the requested cost, the
lowest rate available for your shipment will be emailed to
you.
In some cases, your shipment may be accepted under
alternate conditions. I.e. a particular carrier may be able to do your
shipment at your requested cost, but may not have all required accessorial
services available, such as a lift gate, etc. In this case, you will be
informed of both the lowest cost available and the lowest cost available
through carriers that can meet all your accessorial
needs.
The type of shipments accepted are:
| 1. | Commercial freight of all kinds packaged or palletized for shipping in truckload or less than truckload quantities. |
| 2. | Household Items boxed or crated for shipping only with a maximum released value of 10 cents per pound. |
| 3. | Rail or temperature controlled shipments in full truckload quantities. |
| 4. | Air Freight or expedited shipments. |
| 5. | Shipments to or from any points in the United States or Canada. |
The types of shipments not accepted are:
| 1. | Small parcels |
| 2. | Items not packaged or palletized for shipping |
| 3. | C.O.D. shipments. |
| 4. | Loose household items, such as furniture, appliances, etc. |
| 5. | Shipments where the cost of shipment is under $100. |
